Fallsburg Smart Growth started in the summer of 2005 as a non-partisan
organization of residents who believe in fostering thoughtful, thorough planning for the
growth and development of our town based on community vision and values.

Working cooperatively with our local officials, fellow citizens, and broader county
community to bring these issues to public awareness, Fallsburg Smart Growth is committed
to finding optimal solutions to achieve thriving year-round communities and a vibrant
economy while preserving open space and small-town quality-of-life for all its residents.

What is Smart Growth?

Smart Growth

is a national movement to build strong,

prosperous, thriving, healthy communities,

recognizing

the

connections between development and quality of life.

It leverages new growth to improve the community.

place, however all smart growth invests

resources in restoring community and
