| Sullivan County Building Permits 2001-2006 A chart prepared by the Sullivan County Planning Dept building permits issued in each town since 2001. Fallsburg is way out in front. Building Permit chart Fallsburg 2007 Zoning Code -Draft Section 130-1.2 of the draft of the new zoning code says: "It is the legislative intent of this Zoning Code to provide standards and procedures to guide land use and new development, and to implement the Town of Fallsburg Comprehensive Plan." A lot of hard work went into this major revision of the 1991 code, brilliantly done by planner Alan Sorensen of Planit Main Street. This draft will have its public hearing at the Town Board meeting, March 27, at 7:30pm. Conservation Subdivision Here is a sample Conservation Subdivision Law that the Town Ghent is trying to enact. "A Conservation Subdivision shall be defined as a subdivision in which lots and dwelling units are potentially smaller and/or closer together than otherwise permissible in a conventional subdivision, and where open space is preserved on the remainder of the property without increasing density for the tract as a whole, except as expressly authorized herein.
